The Philippine national football team, Philipine Azkals will defend its title as the 2012 champion of the Philippine Peace Cup as the country will host the highly-anticipated event this coming October 11-15, 2013 at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
The annual FIFA-sanctioned International Football competition is organized by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF). The competition will feature the Philippine Azkals and three national football team from various football (–foul word(s) removed–)ociations.
The 2013 edition of the Philippine Peace Cup will feature three teams only including the Philippines, some invited teams could not participate due to some circumstances. Invited teams are Chinese Taipei national football team and the Pakistan National Football team.

October 11: Philippine Azkals vs. Chinese Taipei
October 13: Chinese Taipei vs. Pakistan
October 15: Philippine Azkals vs. Pakistan
Among the national football teams joining the Philippine Peace Cup, the Philippine Azkals is the highest-ranked team based upon the latest FIFA rankings. The Philippines is currently ranked at 141 while visiting team Pakistan is ranked at 170 and Chinese Taipei is at No. 175.
The Philippine Peace Cup hosted by the City of Bacolod is just one of the few events being featured by the City of Smiles as it celebrates the 2013 M(–foul word(s) removed–)kara Festival.
