The arraignment of Janet Lim-Napoles, the prime suspect of the alleged kidnapping of primary whistleblower Benhur Luy was reset to September 23 after the Makati Regional Trial Court approved an urgent motion by the camp of Napoles to suspend Friday’s proceedings.
Makati Regional Trial Court Judge Elmo Alameda of Branch 150 granted the petition made by Napoles, the suspect who is currently detained at Fort Sto. Domingo in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
Janet Lim Napoles case at Makati RTC is for alleged serious illegal detention following the supposed abduction of the her cousin and employee Benhur Luy, key witness in the P10 billion “pork barrel” scam for which Napoles has been tagged as the mastermind.
The P10 billion controversy involves the alleged misuse of “Pork” or the Priority Development (–foul word(s) removed–)istance Fund (PDAF) by legislators who were were said to have endorsed the transfer of money to fake non-government organizations managed by JLN or Janet Lim Napoles.
