The PBA announced that the Wednesday games at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum is postponed due to the flooding that engulfed Metro Manila brought about by monsoon rains as worsened by typhoon “Maring.” The announcement was already made by PBA Commissioner Chito Salud on Wednesday morning.

The Wednesday pair of matchups features San Mig Coffee Mixers versus GlobalPort Batang Pier and the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters vs. Alaska Aces. A later date will be announced for the matches.
The Metro Manila areas and nearby provinces have been battered by torrential rains, washing out several game schedules in various leagues. Some of the leagues that already made an announcement of postponement are the NCAA, UAAP, and the Shakey’s V-League.

Over one million people have been affected by Tropical Storm “Maring” and the southwest monsoon for the past few days.
