LLOYD CADENA – Here’s Jun Cadena’s emotional vlog following son Lloyd Cadena’s death.
Vlogger Lloyd Cadena was hailed as “one of the pioneers of Youtube vlogging” in the Philippines. He died at the age of 26 on Friday, September 4. He rose to prominence by documenting his adventures and travel.
His family announced his death in a statement posted on his Facebook page on Friday. Although the statement didn’t reveal the cause of his death, his family said they hope Lloyd will be “remembered for all the joy and laughter he shared with everyone.”
Lloyd Cadena’s social media pages flooded with tributes. In a previous article, Youtube star Ivana Alawi paid tribute to the late vlogger in a special way.
The Kapamilya star shared a photo of her while cleaning a bus. She said she was invited by the late Youtube star to do the bus wash challenge together. Ivana said all the funds collected in her video will be given to his bereaved family.

Lloyd Cadena’s father Jun Cadena made an emotional vlog on Friday. In his video, he said the day he learned of his son’s death has been the saddest day of his life.
“I lost my son Lloyd Cafe Cadena. I was shocked. When I was on duty, my daughter called me around 9 in the morning. She told me, ‘Papa, wala na si Lloyd.’ Napakasakit. Ang hirap tanggapin,” he said.
Lloyd Cadena’d dad is an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) based in the Middle East. He said it is heartbreaking that he was not able to see Lloyd one last time before he passed away.
“Ang hirap tanggapin ng isang ama na mawalan ka ng anak. Sobrang hirap…”
“Ginapang namin sila ng kanilang ina mula pa sila sa hirap. Kahit paano nakakain sila ng tatlong beses sa isang araw. Di bale kaming magulang na hindi kumakain para lang sa mga anak. Ako sanay na ako sa walang kain-kain, makita ko lang mga anak ko na hindi nagugutom.”
Jun Cadena also recalled how he felt when he heard about his son’s demise. He said, “Parang nawalan ako ng lakas nung sinabi ng anak ko sa Dubai, ‘Papa wala na si Lloyd.’ Nagulat ako na hindi ko maintindihan. Maybe two to three minutes or more, tulala ako.”
He then pleaded to the public to respect their privacy. At the end of his video, he asked Lloyd to always watch over them.
