The Japan national men’s basketball team released their final line-up for the FIBA Asia Championship this coming August 1-11, 2013 hosted by the Philippines. The Japanese team is bracketed with Group B which features, Jordan, Hong Kong and Qatar.
The Japanese men’s basketball team features one of its promising national team member particularly, their choosen one, Yuta Watanabe who participated in the 22nd FIBA Asia U-18 Championship. He was also eyeing a slot for the US NCAA Division I School after he was enrolled with St. Thomas More Preparatory School in Connecticut.
Aside from Watanabe, Japan also features Japanese guard Ryota Sakurai and power forward Kosuke Takeuchi as the co-captains of the Japanese National Basketball Team for the FIBA Asia Championship. The team will also field, JR Sakuragi, a naturalized player for Japan whose real name was JR Henderson.
