Answers And Explanation To The “You Entered A Room, There Are 34 People Riddle”
RIDDLES – Amid the coronavirus quarantine, a riddle that starts with “You entered a room, there are 34 people, and you killed 30” has been becoming popular.
However, what is the answer to this riddle? Admittedly, riddles could be fun but at the same time, challenging. So today, we are going to answer the riddle that goes:
You enter a room. There are 34 people. You kill 30. How many are in the room?
The Answer is 35 people! Here’s why!
Once you enter a room with 34 people, the total number of people in the room becomes 35. The riddle then stated that you killed 30 people. However, the question in the riddle asked how many people are left in the room.
The riddle did not state how many people are still left alive. More importantly, it never stated that anybody in the room had left. Therefore, the easy answer to the question is 35.

The correct answer is 34 because of the way the riddle is worded. It states that you first enter the room, and then states the number of people in the room, which would include you since you entered prior to the statement of the number of people in it. It doesn’t state that there are 34 people in the room prior to your entry.
No the answer 35. The word first NEVER appeared anywhere in the riddle.
You’re right it doesn’t say FIRST anywhere. Its starts off by saying you enter a room. Then it states that there are 34 people in the room. Its literally just told you that there are 34 people in the room AFTER you have entered.
That’s exactly how I read it too. Although some people stated 34 and 35 and were told no. So makes me wonder where people get their answers from.
Just saw a version of this, where the answer is one, “I entered a room” “you kill 30 ” there is only 1 in the room as it does not say the 34 are in the room. But, the question above Implies that there is 34 people in the room after you enter said room, so it should be 34 not 35, for it to be 35, the question would need to imply that there were 34 in the room before you entered, Pain in the Arse Riddles.
