‘Wala kayong mga konsensiya’ – Coco Martin
Ang Probinsyano lead actor Coco Martin expressed strong words after ABS-CBN went off-air following the cease and desist order issued by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
With regard to the shutting down of the biggest network in the Philippines, Pinoys have various reactions. However, those who supported ABS-CBN rallied on social media on May 5 after the decision from NTC came out. Even several Senators condemned the said decision against the Kapamilya network.
Several celebrities were actively expressing their grievances also on social media and that included even those from the Kapuso network.
In line with this issue, Coco Martin, who is known for his soft-spoken image on and off-screen, channeled his strong personality to defend his home network.
“Tutal wala naman kasiguraduhan kung buhay pa ako pagkatapos ng pandemic na ito. Tama lang na masabi ko ang mga saloobin ko,” Coco started his statement.
With a hint of sarcasm, he wished that people who pushed the shutting down of ABS-CBN are happy right now. “Mahirap magsawalang-kibo sa mga taong katulad ninyo na patuloy na nang-aabuso. Wala kayong mga konsensiya, naatim niyong pagkaitan ng hanapbuhay at pabayaang magutom ang ilang libong mga pamilya!” he stressed out.
The actor he would not hold back in expressing his emotion regarding what happened. “Galing ako sa hirap at jologs ang pagkatao ko, kaya wala akong pakialam ngayon kung anong sasabihin ng ibang tao,” he added.
Coco also said that although he is not as intelligent as other people but there is one thing that he understands very well and that is losing the jobs that thousands of people have.
“Maraming maraming salamat Solicitor General Joe Calida at sa bumubuo ng National Telecommunications Commission sa kontribusyon niyo sa ating bayan! [TINAT@R@NT@DO] NINYO ANG MGA PILIPINO!!!” Coco Martin said.
Several social media followers of the Kapamilya actor commended him for strongly saying his side regarding the issue. However, there were those who pointed out the “legal” aspect of the issue. Here are some of the comments.
