Motorist Given Ticket For Admitting Drinking Vodka After Thermal Scan Shows 38 °C
MOTORIST SCAN SHOWS 38 – The Philippines has seen an increasing trend in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases.
Because of this, President Rodrigo Duterte imposed a community Quarantine in Metro Manila. Along with this, places like Bacolod City in Negros Occidental also followed.
A day after the community quarantine was announced, motorists are required to pass-through checkpoints for thermal scans.
However, one motorist showed a temperature of 38 Degrees Celcius. The motorist was checked by two people to confirm his temperature.
He was then asked by an official if he was feeling well. The motorist said he was fine. But, afterward, he explained that he took shots of Vodka to fight off the virus.
“Nag tagay ako, mga tatlong shot ng vodka”.
Following this, a police officer told him that the alcohol level of motorists should be .01% or negative. The officer then said that what he was doing was against the law.
According to ABS-CBN, the motorist was given a ticket for driving under the influence of alcohol. See the full video below:
The World Health Organization had already warned that consuming alcohol does not help prevent or contain the spread of the virus.
They said that alcoholic drinks should only be consumed in moderation. Following this, those who do not drink alcohol should not start drinking to try and prevent being infected with COVID-19.
