Philippine Daily Inquirer Epic Fail: Time Magazine Cover Photo

One of the Philippines most respected news media organization, the Philippine Daily Inquirer used a satirized version of a Time Magazine cover on its front page featuring President Benigno Aquino III.

The national broadsheet used a meme photo originated from the Facebook Group “Showbiz Government” for its front page story about the inclusion of the Philippines’ President in the 100 Most Influential People of the World list by Time magazine.

The photo which was first seen at the FB Page Showbiz Government have some clues why it’s just a parody. First, the Time Magazine logo is printed in white, not yellow, a color which is (–foul word(s) removed–)ociated with the Aquino’s. Second, out of the 100 people, its a rare chance that the President will be chosen as the front page cover.

Third, the editors of Philippine Daily Inquirer should try to visit first, the official website of Time to confirm the front page cover.
