GMA Signed Contract to co-produce ‘Running Man Philippines’
Tuesday morning, February 11, 2020, South Korean TV Network SBS signed a contract to GMA Network for co-production of Running Man Philippines.
According to the report of GMA News, SBS Korea Chief Global Contents Officer SBS Korea Kim Yong Jae, Global Production & Business Team Director Kim Soo Hwan along with the GMA Network Chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon, GMA Network President and COO Gilberto R. Duavit, EVP, and CFO Felipe S. Yalong are present during the contract signing this Tuesday morning.
SBS Korea Chief Global Contents Officer SBS Korea Kim Yong Jae said that this is the SBS’s first co-production with a Philippine network. He added that they have experienced success in Vietnam and China so they are also expecting a lot in the Philippines.
“We experienced the success in Vietnam and China and we’re expecting a lot in the Philippines also,” Yong Jae told GMA reporters.
Gozon said he is thrilled to be partnering with a well-known network in South Korea and is hoping to make it a top rating show in the Philippines.
“We are also very delighted to partner with a great institution in content and we know that this “Running Man” is a top rating program not only in South Korea but in other countries and we hope to make it also a top rater her in the Philippines,” Gozon said.
The “Running Man Philippines” is set to air in GMA Network on 2021.
The cast of the long-running show will be coming to Manila for a show on June 21, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. All 8 cast members will be coming to the show, their “first stop” for 2020.
