Drunken Man Stabbed To Death In Barangay 13, Victorias City
VICTORIAS CITY – A drunken man was recently stabbed to death in Barangay 13, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
According to Panay News, local police identified the fatality as Noel Cañete, 23 years of age and a resident of the said barangay in the city.
The police added that the suspect might have been his neighbor, identified as Wilfredo Condor, aged 64.
Reports from police probers state that an altercation occurred between the victim and his wife.
Condor attempted to mediate the couple but he was allegedly pushed by Cañete into a fence. This urged Condor to stab Cañete with a bladed weapon.
According to the report, Cañete was rushed to the Immaculate Concepcion Health Center in the city but was eventually declared dead.
As for Condor, he was detained in the custodial facility of the local city police station and is facing charges for the incident.
