Man Arrested For Robbing An Apartment In Sampaloc, Manila
SAMPALOC – A young man was arrested on Monday for breaking in an apartment in Barangay 518 in the district of Sampaloc, Manila.
According to ABS-CBN News, a closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage showed that a 20-year-old suspect carried a bag from the victim which contained a cellphone and cash worth ₱135,000 in cash, as he descended down an apartment.
Witnesses testified that they were curious when they saw the suspect sweating, which prompted them to remember his face. The suspect, identified as Roel Galicia, a resident in Sta. Cruz, was eventually arrested.
Galicia admitted his crimes and possessed ₱8,000 worth of drugs. The suspect added that he spent ₱11,000 he stole for drugs.
Based on the report, he will be filed for violating the Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The victim’s belongings could no longer be obtained. However, Galicia claimed that it was taken by another group he had a fight with.
