Lots of beautiful actresses from the ABS-CBN network audition for the iconic superhero role, Darna after Liza Soberano withdraw from the project due to her finger injury.
Recently, the tv networks’ movie production arm Star Cinema announced that they found the new Darna.
“We have found a new Darna and she is none other than Jane de Leon!”
In a report, Jane de Leon finally broke her silence after being chosen as the new Narda/Darna.
The 20-year old celebrity expressed her gratitude to all the people who supported and believed in her and vowed to the Darna fans that she will do her best for the movie.
“MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT PO SA TIWALA! Pangako po na pagtatrabahuhan kop o ito at ibibigay ko ang lahat,” said Jane.
Surely, lots of Darna fans and Jane De Leon’s fans wondered whar is her reactions after she found out that she’s going to be the next Darna?
To become the next Darna is such a prestigious honor for an actress. The fictions super heroine and it’s actresses like Vilma Santos, Marian Rivera, and Angel Locsin is loved by almost all of the Filipinos.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN, the new Darna couldn’t help but turn emotional after she was told that she won the most coveted role.
Jane De Leon triumphed over more than 200 female nationwide including stars from Star Magic and Star Hunt. The actress said she can “surrender all” for the iconic role.
“Iyong desire pati ‘yung heart ko po talaga ay nandoon po kay Darna,” Jane said.
According to the report, Darna director Jerrold Tarog said the decision to pick Jane was a “unanimous one.” He also said that the management aims to reintroduce the superhero to the new generation with a new face.
