In This Rainy Season, Here Are Tips On How To Deal With Mosquitos
HOW TO – During this wet season in the country, mosquitos would most likely start appearing in massive numbers and could be a nuisance.
There has been a lot of cases reported about people catching diseases brought by mosquitos in the Philippines. In a separate report, it was revealed that there were about 60,000 cases of dengue according to DOH’s record.
Dengue is a serious medical condition that can be fatal. Although there have been multiple tips about dealing with dengue including ealy detection, possible cure and plant alternatives as medicine.
But to be completely safe, it would be better if we just got rid of mosquitos in the first place. Since the spawn of mosquitos is basically the root of the problem, here are some tips to deal with them:
USING FANS
Oscillating fans actually offer great help in keeping mosquitos away. Mosquitos can’t actually deal with wind that well so it is good choice set up a nice, strong fan to drive them away.
GET RID OF UNECESSARY STAGNANT WATER
Stagnant waters that are left unnoticed are the best spawn areas for mosquitos. Mosquito larvae develops in dirty water from old tires, cans, bottles or anywhere water can stay.
USE MOSQUITO TRAPS
There are tons of products that offer mosquito repellant gadgets, devices and other items. The effectivity would depend on the your home area, the number of mosquitos and the brand of the mosquito trap so be sure to experiment and check on its quality control seal.
PEST REPELLING PLANTS
Lemongrass and marigold are the two most common plants but there many others you can find in books, the internet or peer suggestions. Pest-repelling plants can provide a good protection not just from mosquitos but also from other pests.
