Surely most of us are terrified of snakes because there is a tendency that it will attack us and kill us with their poisonous venom.
There are also people who adored serpents. In fact, they let these species slither all over their house and garden.
Snakes are among the most persecuted animal species along with spiders, mosquitos, and rats.
Most of the time, people run once they laid eye on this reptile while some tried to find something to grab and hit it until it’s dead.
Based on a report from Inquirer, a 73-year-old woman in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania used a gardening tool to kill the cobra that entered the patio of her apartment.
Kathy Kehoe used a shovel to slay the 4.5-foot-long serpent.
According to the report, the woman said she heard the squawking of some birds outside her apartment caught her attention.
When she looked outside her patio, she saw the large snake slithering on the floor and noticed spots that is commonly found in cobras. She then grabbed a shovel and gently press it’s tail.
Based on the report, after she nudged the snake’s tail, it rose and inflates its hood. When she realized that it’s a cobra, she decided to persecute it.
“I knew what I was doing was dangerous, I’m not a fool… I just acted.
“I thought of the kids and other people in this community and I said ‘I can’t let this thing get away,” she said.
The officials in their town also caught 20 venomous serpents from a nearby unit but they are not sure if the cobra escaped from that apartment.
