The Famous ‘Laboracay’ Will Be Changed To ‘Love Boracay’ Starting This Year
LABORACAY – A few changes will be made to the party rules in the white beach after its rehabilitation, from Laboracay to Love Boracay.
One of country’s most visited tourist spot just reopened recently after it has gone under maintenance. To completely revamp the beautiful island, some new rules were applied.

There will no longer be wild parties held right at the beach front as it was recommended that all parties should be indoors. This is to protect the island from the mess that may come with the massive crowd.
This is according to an article from CNN Philippines.
Based on the article, while all the partying and drinking will be inside the halls, other scheduled activities will include:
- Zumba sessions,
- food fests,
- a water festival,
- an art and music night,
- fire olympics,
- dive fest and,
- drone film festival.
Tighter policies and more strict implementation of these policies will also be applied by the authorities. Especially for business owners.
Abram Saulog, Malay, Aklan’s acting Mayor, also claimed that the authorities will no longer be soft on implementing the rules.
He expressed it on his statement:
“Wala na pong palakasan hindi na po pwede ‘yun. Marami lang nagtatampo sa kahigpitan natin.”
“There will no longer be favored individuals. That’s not allowed anymore. A lot of them just get mad because of our strictness.”
Roy Cimatu also revealed another good news for the island and for the people who stay or visit there. The Environmental Secretary announced that the level of coliform – bacteria that can be found in feces- have dropped to a certain number.
The waters in Boracay are also now clear or algae.
That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
