PDEA is monitoring 2 celebrities who are linked to prohibited substance dealer
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) is monitoring 2 celebrities who are linked to the alleged top dealer of prohibited substances in parties.
This is not the first time that high profile personalities, especially in show business, are being linked to illegal substances.
PDEA Special Enforcement Services (SES) Acting Director Levi Ortiz said the names of the celebrities popped up while they were expecting the phone of Steve Pasion, the slain big-time party drug dealer.
Based on the report from Inquirer, Pasion was killed during a buy-bust operation last Monday.
Ortiz stated, “Yong clients niya high-profile, mga young professionals, mga students, and also celebrities. Take note, may dalawang celebrity tayo na nakunan natin sa text communication nila sa suspect, na nag-order ‘yong celebrity ng 200 pieces of Ecstasy.”
He added that the 2 celebrities are high profile, male and female, and are frequently seen on TV. Authorities were able to see the communications that Pasion had with these celebrities.
Ortiz refused to reveal the identities of the celebrities because there is a possibility that Pasion was just using aliases for his clients. They are still investigating this aspect.
“Subject to further investigation. Kasi
PDEA arrested Irene Mercado, Pasion’s live-in partner. Authorities confiscated around one kilo of shabu and 60 milliliters of liquid ecstasy with a combined worth of P6.075 million from their house during the raid, based on the report.
