De La Salle University To Fire Louie Gonzales as Head Coach of Green Archers
De La Salle University (DLSU) will fire the head coach of Green Archers Louie Gonzales as a part of their major overhaul.
Earlier this year, Louie Gonzales takes over the position of being the head coach of La Salle Green Archers from Aldin Ayo.
Gonzales who’s in his first year as Archer’s head coach posted an 8-7 record leading the team to get the third place at the UAAP.
DLSU let go of everyone except for the lone assistant Siot Tanquincen who was left in the team, according to a source.
The source also said that the Green Archers were looking at the possibility of hiring a foreign coach if there’s no Filipino coach is available.
Englishman Tim Lewis of Qatar’s national basketball team head coach was eyes to be the new coach of the team.
Alaska Aces assistant Eric Altamirano who’s also a former head coach of National University has been also named as a potential new coach of DLSU.
Altamirano’s eldest son, Anton who coached DLSU’s team B was also fired like the other members.
