Reposted: Michael Prince del Rosario, a Former High School Drop Out & Computer Addict Tops LET Board Exam
A former high school dropout and computer online game addict topped the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) in the secondary level.
Michael Prince del Rosario ranked top 1 in the result of March 2016 LET Secondary Level after getting an average of 92 percent in the examination.
However, Del Rosario revealed that he was not able to graduate from high school due to his obsession with an online game “Ragnarok”.
The LET topnotcher shared that he started not to attend his classes since he became so fascinated with the game.
Eventually, Michael dropped out of the school after spending three years on the computer instead of attending classes.
“Hindi na po talaga ako pumapasok, sobrang lala po ng ka-addict-an to the point na wala na po. Nag-drop-out ako tapos ang masama pa niyan hindi ko kayang sabihin kina Mama, tinago ko po muna,” Del Rosario said.
Del Rosario decided to take Alternative Learning System (ALS) and was able to pass the examination and got the opportunity to proceed to college.
The former online game addict also bagged the eight top spot in the nursing board examination prior to the LET.
Michael also wants to inspire other students with his story by teaching in a public secondary school.
“Para mai-share ko naman ‘yung experience ko noong high school ako, para marami ring maging katulad ko na noong una nadapa, noong una nagkamali, noong una parang wala nang pupuntahan, pero nakakabangon at nakakabangon basta may pangarap,” Del Rosario added.
