Bacolaodiat Festival 2018 or the Chinese New Year celebration of Bacolod City is set to kick off next month, February 15-18, 2018.
This mark as the 13th celebration of Bacolaodiat Festival, which comes from “Baco” for Bacolod and “Lao Diat”, a Fookien word which means celebration.
According to the organizers, Bacolaodiat Festival will highlight Foo Dogs which symbolizes loyalty and protection.
Events and other festivities will take place at the South Capitol Road and Lacson Tourism Strip from February 15 to February 17; Bacolod City Government Center, February 17 and February 18; and Yuan Thong Temple on February 15.
The Chinese New Year celebration of Bacolod City will start with the traditional Dazzling Grand Parade on February 15, which will feature anew Tsinoys in their traditional Chinese costumes, and the 12 Zodiac Floats.
The three-day celebration will be accompanied with a grandiose fireworks display every night.
Based on the report published by Manila Bulletin, among the popular site which will be featured in the 2018 Bacolaodiat is the Bacolaodiat Imperial Village which showcases the Asian arts and crafts.
Meanwhile, the official schedule of events and activities will be added once available.
