After their win against Sri Lanka, Azkals are now heading to Kuwait for their next match for the AFC 2014 World Cup Qualifier.

However, a bad news struck the Azkals that two members of their team will be given a 1 game suspension by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) after they have earned two yellow cards during the Sri Lanka match and they are team captain Aly Boromeo and midfielder Stephen Schrock.

Now, the Philippine football Federation is now appealing to the AFC to dismiss the suspension laid to Aly and Stephen and let them play in the game of Azkals vs. Kuwait.

According to Mariano Araneta, president of PFF, he defended that it is unfair that the Azkals won’t be playing in their full line up in their next match.

The team are disappointed regarding the decision of the AFC knowing that Aly which is the team captain of the Azkals and Stephen midfielder plays a big role in every match.

In an interview with head coach Michael Weiss, he said that they are already talking about the possible plan and strategy of the team in case that the two members won’t be allowed to play on the next match.

On the other hand, while they are waiting for the response of AFC, Boromeo is still fulfilling his role as the team captain by supporting and joining the team during their training.

Chieffy Caligdong is also sad about the penalty given to two of his co-member and so as the co-team captain he said that he will do his best for the team and he made sure that despite the absence of Aly and Stephen the whole national team will work hard to won the match.
