Mohamed Bouazizi, the 26 year old man who had set himself on fire as a way of protest to the Tunisian government was considered as the true hero of the Tunisian revolution. He ignited not only himself but also the patriotic characteristics of every Tunisian who had been silent for the past few 23 years.
Mohamed Bouazizi is the unemployed fruit-seller who have been arrested by authorities after being caught selling without permit. His cart was put on custody by authorities, and when he complained nobody had listened to him. He was so humiliated with the way the government authorities abused his freedom. In order for him to be noticed he set himself on fire, his act have been reported all throughout the Arab World.
Burning oneself was a costly way of protesting against the government. The way Mohamed Bouazizi protested was an unusual way of sending the message to the authorities. His heroic act proved to be successful in Tunisia, but could it be copied also in the neighboring authoritarian government of the Islamic World.
Similar incidents have been reported by the Aljazeera Network. Burning oneself becomes a way of protests for Arab countries who are most likely not satisfied with the authoritarian type of government they have now. In Egypt there are four Egyptians who had burned their bodies as a sign of protests to the government.
In Egypt a man named Abdouh Abdel Moneim, set himself on fire but was stopped by the authorities, he suffered minor burned injuries. Senouci Touat, an Algerian had also set himself on fire but failed his life is safe now. Mohsen Bouterfif, an Algerian used the burning method also. Another two burning incidents had occurred in Algeria bringing down the total number of incidents into four.

Mauritania have one incidents also, Yemen reported with one incidents as well. Even the government of Saudi of Arabia have been affected also with the same way of protesting. One reported burning incidents in the Kingdom.
The burning revolution that was started in Tunisia have been copied and imitated by other countries but we can’t conclude whether this kind of protest will be effective also in other parts of the Arab World. No one knows maybe it could caused a domino effects. This will served as a warning against tyrant government that ordinary citizens have their own way of expressing their freedoms.
