Kitty Duterte shared a throwback photo with the former President
Social media personality Kitty Duterte shared an emotional message for her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, as the “Ber months” start.
She expressed how much she misses her father, who remains detained at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague. His detention was connected to the “crimes against humanity” that he allegedly committed during his war on drugs campaign.
Through social media posts, Kitty has been expressing her support for her father. At times, she would share emotional moments with the former President, just like what she recently shared.
On her Instagram page, Kitty shared what she described as a “bittersweet” message as the month of August came to a close and the “Ber months” began.
According to Kitty, August is one of her father’s favorite months, which is why she also becomes sentimental and emotional.
Her emotional post came with a black-and-white throwback photo of her and the former president lighting up the city hall to mark the start of the holiday season.
“What a bittersweet way to end august— especially since it’s one of the few months my papa actually likes. This picture was taken as he lit up city hall, with all the beautiful views and lights, in december, to initiate the festivities,” she wrote in the caption of her post.
She shared that she was a little late because she came from her tutor, but her father made sure she got to press the button with him.
“I love you and i miss you, sweet papa rody. no amount of lights have ever lit up my eyes like you have,” the social media personality expressed.
Kitty also shared that she is blessed to have grown up in music, art, and poetry with her father. She also expressed that she is looking forward to singing with the former President again soon.
