Icon Clinic is temporarily close due to Shiryl Saturnino’s death.
The Icon Clinic in Mandaluyong City, where 29-year-old businesswoman Shiryl Saturnino died after undergoing series of cosmetic surgery procedures was temporarily closed due to lacking of permits and business practices.
Based upon the report of Emil Sumangil on 24 Oras, the facility lacks a permit for ambulatory surgical services which is being provided by the Department of Health.
“Pupwede talaga silang mag-operate po dun sa clinic po na yun. Baka po may pag-labag po ng permit nila dun sa ginawa nilang mga procedures,” andaluyong City legal counsel Jeffrey Omadto said noting that the clinic is actually registered and is complying with its dues.
“Dalawa po yung ginawa nilang company: Yung Managed Care (Phils. Inc.) at tsaka yung Icon. Actually, ang nakalagay dun is Managed Care, nakakuha sila ng permit. Pero ang nagpapatakbo ng clinic is yung Icon,” Mandaluyong City Medical Director Dr. Zaldy Carpeso on the other hand noted. “Medyo may problema po doon.”
Shiryl Saturnino died last Sunday, March 26, 2017 at exactly 3:21 in the morning after undergoing breast augmentation, liposuction, and butt surgery.
Earlier reports stated that it was around 5:00 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, March 25, 2017 when Shiryl Saturnino, together with a relative named Shiela Mae Anabe Deinla, arrived at The Icon Clinic in Mandaluyong City.
