Daniel Fernando was asked about Kim Rodriguez and their rumored romance
Actor and politician Bulacan Gov. Daniel Fernando has spoken out about the ongoing issue between him and actress Kim Rodriguez.
Until now, rumors are still circulating that he and Kim have been in a relationship for a long time and that they are just hiding it from the public to avoid intrigue.
The rumors linking them first surfaced in May last year. Allegedly, the Bulacan Governor has been providing expensive items for the actress. Last year, the actor-politician had already denied that he gave P1 million to the actress.
It has long been rumored also that Gov. Daniel is supporting Kim and even gifted her an expensive car.
In a recent interview on “Kay Susan Tayo Vlogs” hosted by veteran journalist Susan Enriquez with Gov. Daniel Fernando as her guest, they discussed about the latter’s love life, based on the article in Bandera.
The “Unang Hirit” host directly questioned Gov. Daniel about what was really going on between him and Kim Rodriguez and if they really had a secret relationship?
“Kakilala mo siya?” Susan asked. “Eh, siyempre, artista eh,” the governor said. When asked if he knows her on a persona level, he said, “Nakilala ko po siya.”
“So hindi mo siya naging girlfriend?” Susan asked again, and the governor categorically denied this. “Hindi po,” he stressed, adding that there was no MU (mutual understanding) between them.
He also said that Kim is his “female friend.” Gov. Daniel added that his photo with Kim was just used by his opponent in politics.
Photos of Gov. Daniel and Kim surfaced on social media in May, 2025, where the actress is holding a bouquet of flowers and the governor is next to her.
Gov. Daniel is still holding Kim in his arms in the pictures and behind them is a yellow luxury car. Following this, the two are rumored to be in a relationship.
In some of Kim’s TikTok videos, netizens posted some malicious comments but the actress did not criticize them. “Dedma sa basher basta may daniel fernando.” a netizen commented and the actress replied, “Pikit.”
