Barbie Forteza has a new project with Sharon Cuneta
Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza revealed that Megastar Sharon Cuneta is the reason why she wanted to become an actress.
Barbie started as a child star in the Philippine entertainment industry. She used to play the younger versions of the lead female characters in movies and teleseryes.
Eventually, Barbie, the leading lady, and her projects have proven her acting caliber.
It was recently announced that ABS-CBN and GMA Network will once again collaborate. This new project is titled Honor Thy Mother, which also features John Estrada and Khalil Ramos.
In a recent Instagram post, Barbie Forteza featured her photo and video with Sharon Cuneta during a media conference.
The Kapuso actress wrote in the caption of her post that it was the Megastar who pushed her to pursue her dream.
“She was the reason why I wanted to become an actress. Dreams do come true. Beyond excited to work with you po, Ms. @reallysharoncuneta,” Barbie shared.
In the comment section of her post, Barbie received messages of support from her fellow celebrities and her fans. They congratulated the Kapuso Primetime Queen and expressed excitement for her new project. This upcoming teleserye is set to be released on Prime Video. As of this writing, no release date has been posted.
Meanwhile, back in 2023, Barbie was featured in the TV remake of Sharon’s movie Maging Sino Ka Man. The Kapuso and her onscreen partner at that time, David Licauco, received praise from Sharon.
Reacting to this, Barbie Forteza could not help but gush over what Sharon Cuneta said about them. She said that she was flattered to hear that the Megastar had a positive comment. Barbie wanted to give justice to the role, as this was an iconic movie in the 90s.
