Rabiya Mateo said that she is in a happy place right now
Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo shared the status of her love life amid the rumor linking her to Kapamilya actor Jake Cuenca.
It was recently confirmed that Rabiya is single, after her ex-boyfriend, Kapuso actor Jeric Gonzales, revealed that they had broken up. However, the reason for their separation was not divulged. On the other hand, the actor stressed that he and Rabiya remained good friends.
A few days after Jeric’s breakup confirmation on the Kapuso afternoon talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Rabiya was spotted with Jake in BGC.
It can be seen in the photo that Rabiya and Jake appeared to be on a date. Amid the rumored romance, both of them remained silent, as of this writing.
However, in a recent interview on For The Record of Abante, Rabiya Mateo shared that her heart is happy right now.
“I’m in a happy place. Very, very happy. And I’m so grateful… sa lahat ng lessons from the past. And it made me realize na ‘yung kung ano man ‘yung mga heartaches or mga bad na nangyari sa ’yo in the past, it’s gonna get better, and sasaya ka ulit,” the beauty queen-actress said.
When Abante reporter Isaiah Mirafuentes where is that ‘better place”, Rabiya answered, “Puwedeng saan na lang? Sa BGC, joke!” She did not elaborate on this, but she said she and the other person are still in the process of knowing each other.
“Basta masaya, I’m happy. Wala naman kailangan i-confirm pa or ikuwento pa… ayaw ma-jinx kasi nasa process pa lang na kailangan mo talagang kilalanin. At kailangan mo tingnan if compatible kayo or not, ‘di ba?! And ‘yung compatibility, loyalty, and even love, it is tested with time. So I need to wait for it, walang minamadali,” she enthused.
Rabiya also shared that she is not waiting for any sign as she is just enjoying the process. “I think we have this common understanding na we wanna know each other. ‘Yun lang,” she added.
Meanwhile, just recently, Rabiya Mateo became a viral topic when her 741 General Performance Score (GPS) on the National Medical Admission Test (NMAT) circulated online. This was higher than the 719 mock test score that the trending fictional character Linda Walker from a Chinese drama got. Previously, Rabiya revealed that she decided to return to school.
