Netizens claimed that the attack against Emman Atienza was orchestrated
Social media personality Emman Atienza had a tragic death, and netizens claimed that Republic Asia CEO Bran Reluao was the mastermind of the bashing.
Emman is the youngest daughter of veteran TV host Kim Atienza, fondly called Kuya Kim. The 19-year-old social media personality gained popularity online because of her wit and humor. She showed her vibrant personality and straightforwardness.
Behind her happy aura, Emman publicly admitted that she had mental health struggles, and she was advocating for awareness and understanding.
However, the time came when those struggles took a toll on her. Emman Atienza died on October 22, 2025, in California. This shocked the public and devastated the hearts of her loved ones.
Messages of grief, sympathy, and condolences poured online. Many people close to Emman recalled how she touched their lives, and the public has become more aware of the mental health issues.
Five months after Emman’s death, a speculation surfaced online. It was alleged that the bashing that Kuya Kim’s daughter received was orchestrated.
A certain @HiCanITanongYouBa on Reddit posted on ChikaPH a claim that Bran Reluao, the CEO of Republic Asia Media, an online news and features platform, was the mastermind of the bashing directed at Emman.
According to the netizen, who claimed to be one of the dummy account handlers under Reluao’s company, regret came after what happened to Emman.
“Kung maibabalik ko lang ang oras, pipiliin kong manahimik kaysa makisali. Hindi sapat ang “sorry” para sa nangyari. Sa pamilya mo—wala akong mukhang maihaharap. Pero sana, kahit paano, marinig ninyo ito: nagsisisi ako. Totoo. At habambuhay ko itong dadalhin,” the netizen wrote.
In the comment section of this post, social media users said that they are taking this matter with a grain of salt, as for now, this is just purely a claim, and no proof was presented.
In another Reddit post, under PinoyVloggers, netizen @Silly_Physics6424 cited the timing that happened to Emman Atienza. “May kakaibang timing lang, habang umiinit dati yung usapan tungkol sa “nepo babies” at flood control issues, biglang sumabog ang atake kay Emman Atienza, at doon na umikot ang issue,” the netizen claimed, adding that the unified attack against Emman happened to divert the public’s attention.
As of this writing, Bran Reluao, who is also a Special Envoy of the President to the Kingdom of Thailand, has not yet released a statement regarding the accusation against him.
