Jopay Paguia Defends Alvin Aragon
JOPAY PAGUIA – Emotions ran high as Jopay Paguia addressed the controversy surrounding Alvin Aragon’s statements following the Sexbomb reunion concert.
Jopay Paguia could not hold back her emotions as she addressed the controversial statements made by Alvin Aragon, which began after their fellow member Izzy Trazona was not included in the Sexbomb reunion concert.
In an interview with broadcaster Julius Babao, available on his YouTube channel, the Sexbomb member became tearful and apologized to the public if anyone was hurt by Alvin’s remarks.
Jopay said that Alvin’s only goal is to bring the public closer to God. “On behalf of Alvin and Izzy, or Alvin nalang, Ako na yung humihingi ng pasensya sa mga tao. Kasi ang gusto lang naman nila, is ‘yung mapalapit tayo kay Lord.
“Mali man ‘yung bitawan [at kung] paano [ito sinabi] ,pero isa lang naman ang goal, is yung mapalapit tayo kay Lord lahat,” said Jopay.
She also expressed her hope that the public would forgive Alvin and stop criticizing him, as his family, especially their friend Izzy, had also been affected.
“Ano man yung pinagdadaanan natin… So patawad. Patawarin talaga. Tigilan na. Kasi may dalawang anak na babae ‘yun. Kasi nararamdaman ko si Izzy, sobra. Kasi kung sa akin po mangyari ‘yun, baka hindi ko kayanin,” continued Jopay.
The Sexbomb singer and dancer explained that Alvin might have made a mistake in how he expressed himself, but his intentions were good, aiming to bring people closer to God.
He also apologized to celebrities who were affected by Alvin’s statements.
“So kung nasaktan man kayo ni Alvin, Kina Ate K, kay Ian, kay Gloc-9, sorry po.” Jopay apologized.
According to her, Alvin’s statements were correct when considered in the context of Biblical teachings. Jopay emphasized that forgiveness and holding onto faith are more important than disagreements.
In the end, she reminded everyone that, despite misunderstandings, the true goal remains: to be closer to God and to practice compassion and understanding toward one another.
