Celebrities shared their thoughts on the statement made by Alvin Aragon
StarStruck alum Alvin Aragon has been a trending topic on social media these past few days because of his controversial statements involving his faith, and this received comments from celebrities.
Alvin is the husband of S*xbomb Girls member Izzy Tazona. The all-girl group, which rose to fame in the early 2000s, recently had a series of reunion concerts.
However, Izzy was not able to join the show,s and the main reason for this was her and her husband’s religious beliefs.
Alvin Aragon has been expressing intriguing statements. He pointed out that he would never allow his wife to wear revealing clothes and perform sultry dance moves in front of the public because it is against their religious belief. He also had statements that some people labeled as “homophobic.”
He even criticized Bulacan Vice Governor Alex Castro for letting his wife, S*xbomb Sunshine Garcia, be part of the concert. Alvin pointed out that Alex should be the one protecting his wife.
Following his controversial statements, Alvin Aragon received comments from celebrities, such as Rica Peralejo, IC Mendoza, Sue Ramirez, and Mikoy Morales.
Rica said that there is nothing wrong with sharing with other people what you believe, but one should be careful because you may sound “self-righteous.
She admitted that she was like this before, but she realized that she can’t just shove what she believes in on other people.
Being part of the LGBTQIA+ community, IC also shared his thoughts. “I did not choose between my faith and my identity, I can have both,” he stressed.
Mikoy also shared his thoughts on Alvin Aragon’s statements. The Kapuso actor stressed that one should not be hypocritical in sharing something about faith, but should not exhibit judgmental behavior.
Sue stressed that it was not a sin to be a member of the popular dance group that became part of many Filipinos’ growing-up years.
