Actress Louise Delos Reyes has issued a stark warning after one of her relatives fell victim to an online scam.
Louise has been in the industry for many years already. Aside from acting, she is also a content creator and a pastry chef. In one of her recent posts on her Instagram page, the actress-content creator shared a warning.
The actress revealed screenshots of her family members’ transactions on a fake account that pretended to be a well-known resort, San Benito. This resort is known as on the famous destinations of celebrities when they want to relax and spend time with their loved ones.

Louise Delos Reyes detailed the incident and the bigger problem it poses, especially for seniors who are more easily fooled on social media.
In one of the tiles she shared, she wrote, “SOMEONE IN OUR FAMILY GOT SCAMMED BY A GROUP PRETENDING TO BE THE FARM AT SAN BENITO. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM, ESPECIALLY FOR OLDER PEOPLE WHO HAVE LIMITED ACCESS TO OTHER PLATFORMS AND ARE MORE GULLIBLE ABOUT WHAT THEY SEE ONLINE, PARTICULARLY ON FACEBOOK.”
She also pointed out that old people are frequent victims, so she stressed that they should be protected by their relatives.
“THEY ARE THE MOST SUSCEPTIBLE TO THESE KINDS OF MANIPULATION AND SCAMS. AS A COMMUNITY, WE CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH TO PROTECT OUR PARENTS, TITOS, TITAS, LOLOS, AND LOLAS,” the actress said. Louise also hoped that parents would no longer be victimized by this. “LET’S STAY VIGILANT AND EXPOSE THESE PEOPLE,” she added.

In the caption of her post, she reiterated her warning as scammers are now using the names of establishments, and often, the elders are the victims.
Meanwhile, Louise Delos Reyes was entangled in a controversy last year. Allegations surfaced that she had a child with actor Xian Lim. However, Viva Artist Agency was quick to debunk the allegation.
