Paulo Avelino talked about his preference when it comes to filming sultry scenes
Kapamilya actor Paulo Avelino said that this is the most important when shooting a scene that needs intimacy with his co-star.
Paulo has shown versatility with the various acting projects he has done over the years. He has done heavy drama, antagonist and protagonist roles, and romantic comedy series.
His most recent teleserye project is The Alibi with his onscreen partner Kim Chiu. The series tackles a more mature theme. In this, Kim had to show sultry outfits, and she and Paulo had intimate scenes.
In a recent interview, based on the article in the Inquirer, Paulo Avelino said that it is important for him that his co-star is comfortable when they have sultry scenes.
“Maraming ilangan moments because when you enter a set as a professional actor and you have scenes na medyo delicate, lagi mong iniisip ang co-actor or co-actress mo kung komportable sila, like with Kim and Sofia [Andres],” he said.
The actor admitted that he felt “takot” when Kim did her dance scene at a bar and that the fear he felt in his scenes with Sofia was because of the instructions from the director and what was written in the script.
Because of this, he made sure that he would have conversations with his co-stars to break the ice between them. He would eliminate the awkwardness and avoid that one would be hurt as they were filming.
Kim Chiu agreed with what his leading man said. In their past projects, she said that she and Paulo Avelino would really make sure that there is coordination between them and that they should stay professional, even though there is still a bit of awkwardness in doing intimate scenes.
