Filipino-American singer Jessica Sanchez was named the winner of Season 20 of America’s Got Talent.
Jessica first had her taste of fame when she joined the 11th Season of the singing competition American Idol back in 2011. The show ended in 2012, and she finished the competition as the runner-up.
Even though she was not the champion, Jessica was given great opportunities. She garnered record label contracts and had concerts.
The first time Jessica Sanchez stood on the AGT’s stage was when she was just 10 years old. That was the first season of the show. 20 years later, she returned and won the championship.

For the final night, 10 finalists were featured – Sanchez, Turner, singer Jourdan Blue, singer Micah Palace, Leo High School Choir, LED dance group LightWire, rapper Mama Duke, variety act Sirca Marea, musician Steve Ray Ladson, and dance group Team Recycled.
This was trimmed down to five finalists – Turner, Sanchez, LightWire, Jourdan Blue, and Leo High School Choir. For the final two, Sanchez and Turner fought for the championship. Eventually, Jessica Sanchez was hailed as the winner.
