After his removal as the PNP chief, Nicolas Torre III had a joke about his next job.
While his status is still hanging in the balance, former PNP Chief Nicolas Torre III humors about the new job he has found.
President Bongbong Marcos ordered the removal of Philippine National Police Chief Police General Nicolas Torre III from his position. The directive was released almost three months after he was appointed.

Torre did not commit any legal violation that warranted his relief from duty, but DILG Secretary and Napolcom chairperson Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla shared that the reshuffles approved by Torre during his stint as chief were nullified by the commission was one of the reasons.
In a previous article, the Palace confirmed that a new government position will be offered to Torre, as Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez filled the position he was ordered to leave.
In an interview, speaking about his removal, he brushed off his ouster, and while his status is still in the balance, he joked that he has found another job: as a food delivery rider. He assured that he is okay after everything that happened, and even delivered a cake to Mamamayang Liberal Party-List Rep. Leila de Lima on her birthday.
As for the new position that will be offered to him, he said that he will just be waiting for the official announcement about it. It’s just still too early for him to answer whether he will accept or refuse the offer.
He believes that no relationships were ruined, and his will to serve the government still remains. He stressed that he is still a police officer after all. He also expressed that the decision was the president’s choice, and he is not someone who is bitter over the decision made effective immediately.
