The clip was well-received by fans who found the scene both relatable and funny. “Masaya ang lakad namin sa Divi… Tuwang tuwa kami ni Sancho, the good son,” she wrote in her post.
She also shared her humorous observations about the sellers they encountered. “Kanya kanyang character ang mga nagtitinda… may napuntahan pa nga kami, bilihan ng cling wrap and aluminum foil… naka-mask kasi ako, pero super tsika ako sa kanila,” she added, showcasing her signature comic style.
One of the highlights of her story was an interaction with a vendor who seemed unusually quiet. “Sabi ko, ‘Ate, bakit malungkot ka?’ Sabi niya, ‘Puyat ako.’ Akala ko naman sa work, haha nood daw kasi siya ng Chinese series. Kaloka, ate, ano ba yan, baliktad diba? Dapat ang customer ang tsinitsika ng nagtitinda.”
Ai-Ai also noted how some vendors initially appeared aloof. “Kaloka, suplada sila nung una, nung may nagpa-picture na customer nila, nagtanggal ako [ng] mask, bumait. Parang ewan hahahaha,” she shared, proving once again how her presence could change the mood of any place.
