NAIA Terminal 1 Accident killed a five-year-old child
NAIA Terminal 1 Accident – On Sunday, May 4, a black SUV rammed into the departure area of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal
The airport is one of the busiest places. Every day, thousands of people are in NAIA for their departure and arrival, aside from family and friends who go there to big goodbye or welcome their loved ones.
That is the usual scenario in an airport. However, an unexpected incident happened on Sunday at NAIA Terminal 1.

Based on the report from GMA News Online, Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon said that two were killed including a five-year-old daughter of an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) after an SUV uncontrollably went in the direction of a crowd of people.
A post from the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) stated that the accident happened around 8:55 AM. It was said that the sports utility vehicle (SUV) crashed through the outer railing and walkway before slamming into the entrance of the Departure Area at NAIA Terminal 1 in Pasay City.

“3 ang injured na dinala sa San Juan de Dios Hospital⦠Ang initial report, I think okay naman,” Dizon added.
The Transportation Secretary expressed sympathy to the OFW who lost a child. “Masakit. Kausap ko āyung father kanina.Ā Hinatid lang siya (OFW) nung anak niya, pamilya,” Dizon said.

On the after of Sunday, the New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC), the one handling the NAIA operations, released a statement saying that four individuals were injured in that accident.
Dizon said that the driver, who drove for a passenger, is in custody right now. The Transportation Secretary added that the driver had no intention to hurt anyone and it was just an accident.
A CCTV footage surfaced on Reddit showing that the SUV was parked near the entrance of NAIA Terminal 1, then, all of a sudden, it accelerated and crashed through the outer railing and into the walkway where many people were standing and walking.
