PWD Tricycle Driver Beaten Up by 5 Men in Unprovoked Attack
PWD TRICYCLE DRIVER – A PWD tricycle driver was brutally beaten by five men in Quezon City in an unprovoked attack.
A tricycle driver who is also a Person With Disability (PWD) fell victim to a brutal attack by five men in Barangay Tatalon, Quezon City. The shocking incident was caught on CCTV and has since raised concerns over safety and violence in the area.
According to the footage, the victim was riding his tricycle when he unexpectedly encountered the group of assailants. Without provocation, the men suddenly launched their attack, causing the driver to fall to the ground. However, the assault did not stop there. Even as he lay helpless on the pavement, the suspects continued to punch and kick him mercilessly.
The video showed the PWD tricycle driver appearing to lose consciousness momentarily due to the relentless beating. His passenger, visibly stunned and frightened, could do nothing but watch as the attack unfolded. The driver sustained multiple bruises and injuries, particularly on his head.
In an interview on TV5’s ‘Gud Morning Kapatid,’ the victim expressed his confusion, stating that he had no idea who the attackers were or what prompted the assault. Apart from physically hurting him, the suspects also robbed him of his mobile phone. After the attack, he returned to his tricycle under police escort, only to find that his personal belongings were missing.
The barangay authorities quickly identified the suspects and summoned their relatives in an attempt to mediate the situation. One of the alleged assailants voluntarily appeared before the barangay officials but denied any involvement in the incident.
Authorities are currently conducting further investigations to ensure that justice is served. The victim, determined to seek legal action, has expressed his intent to file a formal complaint against the suspects.
This incident has sparked outrage among netizens and local residents, calling for stricter security measures to protect vulnerable individuals, including PWDs, from such senseless acts of violence. Community leaders are urging authorities to take immediate action to apprehend all those responsible and prevent similar attacks in the future.
