Kylie Verzosa talked about establishing her business
Beauty queen-turned-actress Kylie Verzosa plays a new role as a businesswoman with her lifestyle brand SOLA.
Kylie was crowned as Miss International 2016. From being a beauty queen, she ventured into acting and won the Best Actress award at the Distinctive International Arab Festivals Awards (DIAFA) 2022 for her performance in the movie The Housemaid.
Aside from acting, Kylie has recently ventured into the world of business when she established SOLA in February.
In an interview, based on the article in PEP, Kylie Verzosa is well-equipped in this field because she earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Ateneo de Manila University.
The actress shared that she got a boost in her confidence from her parents, Ari and Raquel Verzosa who are both restaurateurs.
Kylie said that she grew up in a business-minded family. Seeing this nature when she was growing up, she was already thinking that someday, she was to have something she established.
The actress shared that her movie and TV projects helped broaden her horizon and not just in terms of the capital she needed for her business.
“I pursued showbiz first and acting, and then I felt like this was the best transition into the business that I want. Something about beauty, fashion, making people feel good. So now we have SOLA and now we have ORA,” Kylie shared.
The actress is thankful for having business partners who have been guiding her throughout the process. She also followed her parents’ business advice.
“My parents just pushed me to have my own at a very young age… And something I picked up from them, I think it’s to get the right people and to delegate tasks to them, and think that you won’t be able to do this alone,” Kylie Verzosa shared.
After establishing her business and having the success that it was expected to have, Kylie is ready to explore more showbiz projects next year. She is ready to accept acting projects again. The actress confirmed that she will do several films in 2025 and she misses acting.
