Top 12 Miss Universe 2024 – From thirty (30) semifinalists, twelve (12) candidates were chosen to go to the next round of the beauty pageant.
Miss Universe is one of the most highly-anticipated beauty pageants every year. This year, the pageant has reached its highest number of candidates so far. One hundred twenty-five (125) lovely ladies vied for the gorgeous crown made by Filipino company Jewelmer. One of them will be the successor of Nicaragua’s Sheynnis Palacios Sheynnis Palacios.
After the swimsuit competition, the panel of judges consisted of Filipino designer Michael Cinco, women empowerment advocate Gabriela Gonzalez, art collector Gary Nader, Austrian entrepreneur Eva Cavalli, star builder Emilio Estefan, Miss Universe Canada 2020 Nova Stevens, Colombian actress Fariana, and celebrity dentist Camila Guiribitey, chose the 12 candidates who will advance to the next round.

Before the preliminary competitions were held on November 15 (Mexico), the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) headed by JKN Global Group shareholder Anne Jakrajutatip released a new rule.
For the 2025 Miss Universe pageant, candidates who will join must be born in the country they are representing. Pageant fans, especially in the Philippines, reacted to this because most candidates from the country are “halfies.” However, for many fans, this is just right to have this kind of rule.
Next year, it is expected that the international pageant will take place probably in October as the MUO announced that countries that will join should have named their representatives by August 2025.
