How SB19’s Pablo Improved His Dance Skills

SB19 PABLO – SB19 member and The Voice Kids coach Pablo revealed how he improved his dancing.

Pablo shared advice on thriving in the entertainment industry in a video on his YouTube channel titled “‘Di bale nang pagong kaysa matsing.” The video featured clips from his trip to Taiwan with SB19, where they collaborated with a T-pop group and created content.

Pablo discussed the importance of fundamentals over raw talent, saying that true success comes from mastering the basics.

“Iniisip ng mga tao, talento ‘yung kailangan para maging successful ka, pero it’s not. Ang pinakamahalaga sa lahat is ‘yung mga basics. Dun mo makikita ‘yung mga attitude ng mga tao towards something that he is doing,” he explained.

He first stressed punctuality, noting, “Tapos doon din malalaman ‘yung longevity, para magtagal ka sa isang karera na gusto mong tahakin, dapat meron kang pundasyon na matindi.”

Admitting that he’s the slowest in SB19 at picking up dance choreography, Pablo said he compensates through extra practice, going over steps even after rehearsals to ensure he executes them well.

“Ako sa SB19, ako ‘yung pinakamabagal kumuha ng dance steps kasi sa totoo lang hindi naman talaga ako dancer. But since I got into this kind of industry I had to step up sa pagsasayaw. Kahit mabagal ako, kahit tapos na ‘yung practice I make sure na I run down all the steps para matandaan ko siya, para ma-execute ko siya ng maayos. Nag-e-extra effort talaga ako para makuha ko ng tama ‘yung sayaw.”

Pablo also advised fans to be conscious of the energy they bring to others. “Yung energy o kung paano ka umasta sa mga tao, malaki talaga ang tulong niyan, iba ‘yung nabibigay niyan sa’yo, let’s say you have a positive energy tapos maganda ‘yung asal mo, mabo-boost ‘yung relationship mo sa mga tao.”

He also encouraged staying prepared and being a good listener. “Isa pa sa mga kailangan i-master is ‘yung pagiging prepared at pagiging good listener, ‘yung pwede kang i-coach.”

He wrapped up the video with a valuable lesson: “Kailangan talaga i-master ang basics. Kung gusto mo talaga tumagal sa ginagawa mo, kailangan mo talaga i-master ‘yung basics kasi ‘yun ‘yung magpapatatag sa pundasyon mo.”
