Kim Chiu & Darren Espanto Hospitalized Amid Intense ‘Magpasikat’ Preparations!

Hosts Kim Chiu and Darren Espanto, were rushed to the hospital in the middle of preparing for their upcoming “Magpasikat” performance. On their respective Instagram accounts, the hosts shared photos of themselves after their hospital visit.
Kim posted a photo of herself inside an ambulance, where her legs were visible. In her caption, the actress wrote, “Magpasikat realness (shy emoji).”
In a separate post, Kim shared a photo of her hand giving a thumbs-up despite having an IV attached. She captioned it, “All good [hand praying and red heart emojis].”
Similarly, Darren shared a photo of himself giving a thumbs-up, with a noticeable bandage on his hand. His caption read, “Tinodo masiyado sa training (I over-exaggerated my training) for ‘Magpasikat’ 2024 [sweating emoji],” The word “radiology” could be seen in the background, indicating that he was in a hospital or clinic.
On X (formerly Twitter), Darren asked his followers to pray for the hosts of the noontime program as they prepared for their “Magpasikat” performance. He wrote, “Waiting for my x-ray results! Ok naman po ako (I’m okay). Please continue to pray for all the hosts and the people behind ‘It’s Showtime’! We’re doing our best for y’all! Ilaban natin ‘to! (Let’s go on with this!)”
Neither Kim nor Darren disclosed the reason for their sudden hospitalization.
The “Magpasikat” week is highly anticipated by the fans of “It’s Showtime,” where the hosts compete by showcasing their talents. The hosts prepare intensively for this event, and surprises are expected, especially as the show celebrates its 15th year on air.
