Gloc 9 shared a birthday post for Francis Magalona
Prominent Pinoy rapper Gloc 9 remembered the lesson he learned from the late Master Rapper Francis Magalona.
Gloc or Aristotle Condenuevo Pollisco in real-life. often called Aris, rose to fame as one of the fastest rappers in the hip-hop scene in the Philippines. He is known for his songs that raise awareness and prompt social discussions.
Aris has been very vocal about his admiration for the Master Rapper. Francis M, also known as Kiko became a mentor to many younger artists and his legacy continues up until this day.
In a recent Instagram post, Gloc 9 shared a throwback photo with Francis Magalona. Based on the date on the photo, this was taken back in 2008. The Master Rapper died in 2009 after suffering from leukemia.
In a post shared by Aris, he paid tribute to Francis for his birthday on October 4. Gloc shared some of the most memorable life lessons that the late rapper taught him.
“Sabi mo dati sakin Sir nung nalaman mo na dehado ako sa isang deal ko sa mga songs ko sabi mo “hayaan mo na yun ‘ris, gumawa ka nalang ulit ng kanta tinat@# lang naman natin yan,” Aris shared.
The rapper who popularized the song Sirena also shared what Francis told him when it comes to being an artist and as a person. “Basta tandaan mo ‘ris lagi mong gagalingan hindi lang sa ibabaw ng stage lalo mo dapat galingan sa ibaba nito,” he shared.
Then, Gloc greeted Francis M. “Salamat Sir Maraming Salamat Lagi! Happy Birthday King!” he wrote and this was followed by raising hands emojis and crown emojis.
In the comment section of Gloc 9’s post, many netizens also remembered Francis M’s birthday and showed respect for his legacy in the music industry.
Meanwhile, Gloc 9 recently collaborated with the P-Pop Kings SB19 for the song Kalakal which has reached more than a million views now on YouTube.
