Sam Verzosa talked about his career in politics
Tutok To Win Partylist Representative Sam Verzosa said that he will never use his girlfriend Kapuso actress Rhian Ramos for his political aspiration.
From being a businessman, Sam ventured into politics. Rhian is very supportive of Sam’s political career. In a recent thanksgiving event that Sam organized as part of his birthday celebration, Rhian was there to show support.
Reports have been circulating that Sam will run for mayor of Manila in the 2025 elections. In a recent interview, the actress said that she is ready to support her boyfriend if he would run for mayor.
However, in an interview, based on the article in PEP, Sam Verzosa stressed that he will not use Rhian Ramos’s celebrity status for his aspiration in his career in politics.
He said that it might be a custom that celebrity status can be a big help for someone’s political career but he will never take this path.
“Hindi natin maikakaila, artista po siya. Nakausap ko siya, sabi ko, ‘Hinding-hindi ko gagawin yung ginagawa ng iba. Ayoko na pong magsalita. Parang self-serving naman para sa akin na ginagamit natin. Sana huwag muna nating pag-usapan yan,” he said.
Sam is expecting that after all these, he still has Rhian behind him and will support his aspiration to help other people.
The businessman-politician also said that he is ready to face attacks and criticism as a public servant, not just against himself but also against his loved ones. Sam said that there had been attacks against him but he said, “You cannot put a good man down. Kapag may ginagawa kang mabuti, ano pa ang sasabihin nila?“
He also stressed that his main goal is to help and people can try to hinder him but he will not allow this to happen.
Sam Verzosa shared that since he was young, there were people who tried to bring him down but he did not let this stop him from pursuing his goal.
