The cyber libel case filed against Enchong Dee is still ongoing
DUMPER (Drivers United for Mass Progress and Equal Rights) Representative Claudine Bautista-Lim stressed that she would not withdraw the cyber libel case she filed against actor Enchong Dee.
This started with the social media post that the actor shared. To recall he shared a post on X, now Twitter, criticizing the congresswoman. He accused Lim of using the money intended for commuters and drivers for her “lavish” wedding.
The actor deleted his post and issued a public apology. However, this did not convince the congresswoman not to take legal action against him.
In a recent episode of showbiz insider Jober Sucaldito’s “OOTD” (Oras ng Opinyon, Talakayan at Diskusyon) vlog, based on the article in Bandera, he shared that he saw Cong. Claudine Bautista-Lim at Congress.
He approached the politician and asked about the case she filed against Enchong Dee. Jobert’s co-host Direk Chaps Manansala mentioned that the actor was having a difficult time going to Davao Occidental for the hearing. That was where Lim filed the case.
Jobert said that he thought the case was already over since there were no reported updates about this.
“Sabi niya, ‘no, hindi pa tapos. You know what, masyado talaga kaming nasaktan.’ Nainsulto sa ipinost (ni Enchong). Sabi pa, ‘in fact when I was four months pregnant muntik na akong magka-miscarriage (dahil sa stress),” the showbiz insider shared.
Jobert also shared that as years went by (the case was filed in 2021) she has already moved on. However, the Congresswoman stressed that her husband was very affected by what Enchong shared on social media. Her husband is a private businessman in Mindanao and he came from a prominent and rich family.
“Sabi niya, ‘imagine jobs ng husband ko, he handles 18 branches from different areas in Mindanao ng Toyota (dealer),” Jobert shared. The Congresswoman tried to convince her husband not to push through with the case but she was not able to persuade him.
