Gary Valenciano shared this tribute post for Carlos Yulo
Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano expressed “undying support” for two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo.
Carlos continues to receive recognition after his iconic win at the 2024 Paris Olympics. He had several guestings on mainstream TV shows. He was also featured in YouTube shows like Luis Manzano’s Luis Listens in which he received negative comments from his bashers.
In a recent episode of Kapamilya Sunday musical variety show ASAP Natin ‘To, a tribute was dedicated to Carlos. He was welcomed to the studio with a band and the members of the audience were waving the Philippine flag.
On Monday, September 9, Gary Valenciano, who is one of the main artists of the show, shared a video on his page on X, formerly Twitter.
The video featured clips of what happened when Carlos Yulo visited the ASAP Natin ‘To studio. It showed the time when Gary met Carlos in the dressing room. The singer hugged the gymnast and they took photos together.
This also showed the clips of the tribute made for Carlos in the show. There was also a portion that ASAP hosts posted for a photo with the gold medalist.
In the caption of his post, Gary shared that he can’t stop himself from replaying in his mind the moment he introduced Carlos. The veteran performer also said that they hope the gold medalist enjoyed what they prepared for him.
Gary also thanked Carlos and made this promise. “Thank you for bringing joy, hope, and inspiration to us all. You have my undying support. God bless you sir,” the singer wrote.
