Rico Blanco released a new version of ‘Kisapmata’
Singer-songwriter Rico Blanco thanked his ex-girlfriend for being part of his new ‘Kisapmata.’
The song was first released in 1996 as part of the Rivermaya’s Trip album. This has become one of the most popular songs of the 90s band. Just recently, Rico re-relesed this song.
Rico released the official visualizer of the said song on his YouTube channel. Based on the description, this is part of Rico’s upcoming album containing solo artist versions of his most loved creations. It also said that this has been requested by his fans.
The description also included the names of people who worked with him on this project, including Maris Racal.
Under the “Special Thanks,” these names were written: “Mark Escueta (Guitar Amp) Maris Racal (Telecaster) Marco Bachini (Acoustic Guitar) Zild Benitez (12-string Guitar).”
To recall, Maris and Rico became a trending topic on social media after the actress confirmed their breakup. On July 12, Maris tearfully revealed that she and Rico are over. She immediately clarified that her loveteam partner Anthony Jennings has nothing to do with the breakup.
The actress also stressed that she was the issue in the breakup and people should not bash Rico for what happened in their relationship.
A day before Maris announced their breakup, Rico shared a video on his Instagram page. It was a teaser for his new Kisapmata. “POV: You’re finally ready for the world to hear the trach you’ve been working on for the last 5 months,” Rico wrote in the caption of his video.
Maris Racal and Rico Blanco confirmed their relationship in May 2021. The actress has been very vocal in the past that she was a fan of the former Rivermaya band member. They worked together in the song Abot Langit back in 2019.
