Anthony Jennings was asked about the Maris-Rico breakup
Kapamilya actor Anthony Jennings reacted to his alleged involvement in the breakup between singer-actress Maris Racal and singer-songwriter Rico Blanco.
Anthony and Maris became an unexpected loveteam because of their characters Snoop and Irene in the series Can’t Buy Me Love. Many viewers enjoyed their onscreen chemistry.
With their onscreen partnership, Maris and Anthony would always have showbiz engagements together. When the singer-actress confirmed her breakup with Rico, speculations surfaced that Anthony might be the reason for this.
However, Maris Racal immediately debunked the speculation that Anthony Jennings had something to do with her breakup with Rico Blanco. She stressed in her statement that she was the issue in the breakup and she also asked the public not to hate her ex-boyfriend.
Social media personality Xian Gaza, who is a self-proclaimed Pambansang Marites, shared his opinion on the breakup. He claimed that Rico proposed to Maris but the actress turned this down. This was one of the topics that talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz discussed with his co-hosts Mama Loi and Dyosa Pockoh in the recent episode of Showbiz Update.
Ogie shared that he asked Anthony, through a direct message, about other people’s speculation that he was the reason behind the breakup between Maris and Rico. Anthony’s reply to this was, “Hindi po Mama Ogs. Sasabihin ko naman kung ako.”
The talent manager-vlogger said that from what he knows, Anthony has a girlfriend, When Mama Loi mentioned that people noticed that on Maris’s social media page, there are a lot of Anthony’s photos. Ogie said that it was because they have an upcoming movie together. He added that this came after the hit tandem of Maris and Anthony in Can’t Buy Me Love.
Then, Dyosa Pockoh if the rumor is true that Anthony Jennings is already living together with his girlfriend. Ogie Diaz said that he will ask the actor about this.
