Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings talked about their onscreen partnership
Kapamilya stars Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings shared show they knew that they are “bagay” as loveteam partners.
A loveteam’s success depends on the chemistry that the two celebrities have and their ability to exude “kilig” with what they do together. Maris and Anthony’s unexpected loveteam started in Can’t Buy Me Love. The viewers of the the series loved their chemistry and they were first known as the SnoRen tandem because of their characters Snoop and Irene.
In a recent episode of Netflix’s Bida/Bida, based on the article Balita, Maris and Anthony talked about their onscreen partnership. Their fellow guest Barbie Forteza, who is the loveteam partner of David Licauco, asked the Kapamilya stars when they knew that they looked together onscreen.
Maris Racal said that for her, it was after they shot their few scenes together. For Anthony Jennings, it was when he carried the actress. However, they both said that they did not immediately talk about that particular scene.
It is because their shoot is way ahead of the episodes being shown on air at that time. Maris said that they had no idea what would be the people’s reaction to that and they did not expect the gravity of the scene.
“So, parang do’n ko na-realize na ‘Oh, my gosh. Mayro’n ‘ata talaga kaming something,” she added. Anthony seconded that it was the time when the “kilig” was felt.
Meanwhile, Maris stressed in an interview in which she confirmed her breakup with singer-songwriter Rico Blanco, that Anthony has nothing to do with their separation. The actress said that she was the issue and asked the public not to attack her ex-boyfriend. She also said that she is the issue in her breakup with Rico.
Amid the breakup issue, Rico shared a video on Instagram showcasing the Rivermaya song Kisapmata and this received different interpretations from netizens.
