Peace Talk To MNLF And CPP-NPA-NDF
Peace Talk – Malacanang – ”We were going to pick up the pieces which were left off from the comprehensive agreement of the bangsamoro,” Presidential Adviser On The Peace Agreement Sec. Jesus Dureza said. The administration is hoping that it will be possible for them to do it by the help of Comprehensive Peace Roadmap. The President approves the CPR as an action for the demand of the group asking for peace negotiation in order to give them their rights and their voice as a community of Muslim people of the country.
Duterte administration wants to bring back peace talk to Mindanao. “It is only when the warrant is no longer in the way that this can proceed accordingly,” Dureza said. The only way to deal with the MNLF leader Nur Misuari is when the warrant is no longer effective.
According to the MNLF and the former GPH Peace Negotiator, it is the right time to conduct the peace agreement for Mindanao. The President has built a good relationship to Nur Misuari but dealing with him right now will be difficult for he is still technically a fugitive from justice.
It seems that the President is starting now his job to conduct peace and order in the country. He is now doing a lot of negotiation just to make this goal possible. According to the article written by Inquirer, the talk between the government and CPP-NPA-NDF will formally begin on August 20, 2016, at Oslo, Norway. There is an expected release of the 11 detained leaders of the group, But the president does not confirm their names or the number of the detained leaders.
It could be a starting line for the president to pursue the people to unite for the sake of the country and for the safety of every Filipino. After decades of fighting and the nuisance it caused, could it be possible for the people to be as one for the improvement of the nation’s governance and economic state?
