Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo talked about her decision to help her Goin’ Bulilit batchmate finish college.
Kathryn is known as a superstar of her generation in showbiz. From being a child star, she became one of the in-demand actresses. She starred in projects that boosted her career and popularity.
One of the remarkable projects that Kathryn did was the defunct Kapamilya kiddie gag show Goin Bulilit. Through this show, many stars were produced, including Kathryn.
After two decades, Kathryn Bernardo’s career continues to soar high. She recently renewed her contract with her home network ABS-CBN. The Asia’s Superstar admitted that she received offers from other networks and management companies. However, she chose to remain a Kapamilya.
During the contract signing, Goin Bulilit director Bobot Mortiz was one of the people who gave a message to Kathryn. He mentioned that there was a time when a mother of a “bulilit” told him that it was Kathryn who sent her batchmate to college. The actress did this after the father of her batchmate died.
When Kathryn was asked about this, based on the article in ABS-CBN News, she shared that her mother and her batchmate’s father had grown close to each other.
“During that time, the dad, naging kaibigan namin ni Mama, alam mo ‘yun sabay kakain and then for a time nag-stop mag-artista ‘yung tao na ‘to and naka-receive kami ng message from the mom na ito ‘yung nangyari sa dad tsaka ‘di na rin siya nag-artista,” she shared.
Kathryn Bernardo shared that she and her mom promised the father that they would help her batchmate finish college. “Yung isa sa dreams ng dad niya sa kanya, na makatapos ng college because he’s so smart and alam mo rin ‘yung mga tao na masarap tulungan kasi masipag,” the actress said.
